IDDL Competition Levels

IDDL divides competitors into 3 main divisions:

FEI SENIOR RIDERS
Advanced riders participating at FEI competition levels from Prix St. Georges to Grand Prix
IDDL OPEN DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Intended for adult riders who are not yet ready to compete at the FEI Senior levels. Accomplished riders with young and inexperienced horses belong to this group as well. FEI World Dressage Challenge tests (Preliminary, Elementary, Medium and Advanced) are offered for this division.
IDDL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT DIVISION
Youth athletes are the future of our dressage and that is why it is important to let them compete against their peers in appropriate groups according to their age and skill level, taking into account the general level of dressage in their country. Because if this, the youth athletes are divided into 3 different groups: Group FEI, Group A and Group B.

FEI LEVEL
FEI Level is recommended for riders from countries with strong dressage traditions: Germany, Holland, Great Britain, France etc. Advanced riders from Groups A & B are most welcome as well!
GROUP A
Group A Level is recommended for riders from countries in a transitional phase, with National Championships still below FEI levels.
GROUP B
Group B Level is recommended for riders from countries where dressage is generally still in a developmental stage, such as India, Thailand etc.
